Homicide victim identified as police search for suspect (update)

Halifax Regional Police have identified the victim of Friday night's homicide in Halifax.

When police were called to Scot Street — near Joseph Howe and Bayers Rd. — just after 5:30 p.m., they found Triston Reece with life-threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries shortly after midnight.

Police say there is no suspect information at this time.

They're asking anyone with information to contact them a 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
