Halifax Regional Police (HRP) arrested a suspect on Saturday afternoon following an ongoing robbery investigation that took place earlier this week in Spryfield.

Around 3:50 p.m. on April 9, officers were on scene in the 400 block of Herring Cove Road.

According to a press release, they were investigating a robbery that occurred on April 4.

HRP indicated that there were no immediate threats or safety concerns to the general public. Moreover, traffic was not impacted while officers were on scene.

Most of the officers have already cleared the area but HRP says a few remain on site.

HRP adds that the investigation is ongoing and that charges — if there are any — are yet to be determined.
