Halifax police investigate Bedford gas station robbery

A man in his late 20s stole a small amount of cash on Saturday evening at a Bedford Petro-Canada gas station.

Around 10 p.m. on Oct. 23, the man entered the Petro-Canada at 1611 Bedford Hwy.

“Suspect demanded cash and stated he had a firearm although none seen,” a Halifax Regional Police news release says. “Suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot, heading towards the Shoppers Drug Mart.”

HRP says there were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man who sits at an average height.

At the time, he was wearing a hat, long shorts and a hoodie.

“Patrol officers, with the assistance of K9 officer, conducted an extensive search during preliminary investigation,” the news release says. “However, suspect has not been located at this time.”
