A 71-year-old man has been killed in a crash in Dartmouth Tuesday morning.

It happened at around 9:10 a.m. near the intersection of Everette and Pleasant streets.

Halifax Regional Police say the vehicle he was driving left the road, then flipped over when it hit a cement barrier.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the investigation is still in the early stages.

"Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time," added HRP in a news release.
