Man stabbed on trail near Mainland Common

The victim had non-life threatening injuries and didn't know his attacker

A man was stabbed on a trail near the Mainland Common in Clayton Park late Friday morning.

Halifax Regional Police were called to the Mainland Linear Trail near Westridge Drive at around 11:45 a.m.

They found an injured man that had been stabbed with an edged weapon.

The victim had non-life threatening injuries and didn't know his attacker.

The suspect was last seen walking down the trail in the direction of Main Avenue.

He's described as white, in his mid-to-late 20s and around 5'8" with short black hair. He had been wearing all black clothing.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
