Motorcycle accident causes brief closure on Highway 102

At approximately 1:25 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, Halifax Regional Police responded to a single vehicle accident between Exits 2 and 2B.

HRP says in a release that a motorcycle was traveling inbound on the 102 when the driver lost control.

The driver was thrown from the bike over the concrete median, landing in the outbound lane.

Traffic in the outbound lane was disrupted and closed to traffic until around 2:15 p.m, according to police.

The male driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
