Halifax Regional Police say a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash late Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the Pleasant Street/Main Road area just before 11:20 a.m.

As of 11:45 a.m., the Pleasant/Main is closed between Belmont Avenue and Albacore Place for the investigation.

"Traffic will remain blocked for an extended period of time," said police.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages and it's not yet known if charges will be laid in the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
