Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries after crashing into parked vehicle

The man had crashed into a parked vehicle on Agricola Street near its intersection with North Street in Halifax

A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital on Sunday afternoon with serious injuries after he crashed into a parked vehicle in Halifax's north end.

At 12:52 p.m. on July 11, Halifax Regional Police officers, collision reconstruction members, EHS and HRM Fire responded to the crash.

The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Agricola Street near its intersection with North Street.

"A man was located injured with undetermined but serious injuries," an HRP news release says. "He was treated on scene and was transported to the QEII Hospital."

Officers had blocked the street in both directions for a period of time while the investigation took place.

"The matter is currently under investigation and there are no further updates at this point in time in terms of what led to the collision," the news release says. "The parked car was unoccupied at the time of the collision."
