Pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle early Friday morning

Halifax Police say a woman has sustained non-life threatening injuries following a vehicle – pedestrian collision Friday morning.

Public Information Officer with HRP, John MacLeod says the collision happened at approximately 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of Herring Cove Road and Old Sambro Road.

MacLeod says the pedestrian was crossing the road against a light and was hit by a vehcile travelling northbound on Herring Cove Road.

He adds it's too early to say if any charges will be laid, and the case remains under investigation.
