Halifax Regional Police says the protest at the Macdonald Bridge has finished.

There were no incidents according to a press release sent just after 3:30 p.m.

“We thank the public for their patience and the Macdonald Bridge is now open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic,” the press release says.

The protest had stopped traffic in both directions for a short period.

Protestors were focusing on topics such as Mi'kmaw solidarity with Wet'suwet'en, demanding a public inquiry into the Chantel Moore shooting, the homicide of Rodney Levi as well as missing and murdered Indigenous women.
