At approximately 8:00 p.m. on July 26, Halifax Regional Police got a call for an attempted robbery at the Captain William Spry Community Centre.

The attempt had taken place about 20 minutes earlier, and staff reported a teenage male produced a knife and demanded items from two other teenagers.

The victims fled and were not harmed, and the suspect also fled prior to police arriving at the scene at 16 Sussex Street.

HRP say in a release the victims and suspect were known to each other, and charges are now pending.

Police are asking anyone with additional information to call them at 902-490-5020 or subimt a tip through Crime Stoppers online.
