Police investigate early morning shooting in Dartmouth

Officers were called to a weapons complaint in the area of Highfield Park Dr. and Victoria Rd. at 2:30 a.m.

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a shooting in Dartmouth early Wednesday morning. 

According to police, officers were called to a weapons complaint in the area of Highfield Park Dr. and Victoria Rd. at 2:30 a.m.

Police found a vehicle that had been targeted by gunfire. They say the driver and passenger were uninjured.

The suspect vehicle was no longer in the area, according to HRP, and the investigation was underway. 

The intersection of Highfield Park Dr. and Victoria Rd. was closed for a few hours but reopened as of 6 a.m. Wednesday. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
