Original story

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning in Dartmouth.

They were called to the area of Portland Street and Portland Hills Drive just before 5:30 a.m. where they found a 27-year-old woman with non-life threatening injuries.

HRP do not believe it was a random incident.

As of 7:20 a.m., police say there's a heavy police presence in the area and inbound traffic on Portland Street is being diverted.

The investigation is still in the early stages and police say they'll provide more details when they have them.
