Regional police are investigating a string of break-ins in downtown Halifax late Wednesday and early Thursday.
Just before midnight, police say a man was seen in the Barrington St. area in the downtown yelling and carrying what looked like a broom handle. They say the man smashed the glass door of L.A. Convenience and managed to steal some items.
He's described as white, 5'10 to 6' tall, between 35 and 40 years old with a slim build. He was wearing a hoodie, dark pants and a baseball cap.
Then just before 1:30 a.m., police say a suspect described only as a white woman was seen breaking into Geebo Device Repair on Gaston Rd. in Dartmouth. Police say several cell phones were taken.
And a little before 4 a.m. Thursday morning, HRP says officer patrolling downtown found that the front door of Strange Adventures had been smashed out. It's not clear yet if anything was taken.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
