Police searching for Chevy pickup after home invasion near Middle Musquodoboit

Police are investigating a home invasion in a small community near Middle Musquodoboit.

Halifax District RCMP was notified that a man had been forced out of his truck on Highway 289 in Upper Stewiack, shortly after 4:00 a.m. yesterday morning.

The Mounties later learned the man's home in Dean had been broken into and that he was forced to drive two people after being threatened with a knife.

The man was shoved out of his truck after a brief struggle once they drove into Colchester County and was left on the side of the road.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to look for the 2009 black Chevy Silverado pickup with Nova Scotia plates CNT 832.

The truck which was last seen at a service station in Sackville, New Brunswick and is described as having an extended cab with a tool box and silver bed rails on the box.
