RCMP asking for dashcam video for homicide investigation

RCMP investigators are searching for dashcam video taken by anyone travelling in the 1900 block area of Highway 7 from the evening of Aug. 29 to the morning of Aug. 30.

The Halifax District RCMP Major Crime Unit is asking the public for dashcam video concerning a homicide investigation in East Preston. 

RCMP investigators are searching for dashcam video taken by anyone travelling in the 1900 block area of Highway 7 from the evening of Aug. 29 to the morning of Aug. 30. 

On Aug. 30, 2022, around 6:45 p.m., RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Highway 7 in East Preston. 

Mounties discovered the body of a deceased man in the vehicle. 

RCMP are investigating the death as a homicide. 

RCMP say anyone with dashcam footage from the Highway 7 area between the evening of Aug. 29 to the morning of Aug. 30, or with information on the incident, is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP Major Crime Unit at 902-490-5020.
