Shooting victim suffers non life-threatening injuries: police

Members of the Patrol Division and the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an injured person incident that occurred during the early morning hours in Halifax.

At approximately 3:33 a.m., police responded to a report of a male shot in the lower torso in the  1600 block area of Argyle Street.  Investigators located a 22-year-old man with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. The man was transported to hospital.

Police remain on scene in the area. This matter is in the early stages of the investigation and limited details are available at this time.

Sackville Street is currently closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic between Argyle Street and Grafton Street.  Please use alternate routes.
