Woman charged after Dartmouth assault (update)

A young woman has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being assaulted in Dartmouth Wednesday afternoon.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Jamieson Street at around 1 p.m., where they found the injured 18-year-old.

Officers arrested a 28-year-old Dartmouth woman at an address on Windmill Road.

Nancy Lynn Daigle has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
