Woman struck by vehicle in Woodside dies of injuries (update)

The driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk

A woman struck by a vehicle in Woodside Wednesday morning has died of her injuries.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Pleasant Street at 8:15 a.m.

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 41-year-old woman who police say was driving has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.
