Cataractes win third period battle against Mooseheads

The Shawinigan Cataractes emerged victorious after an action-packed game Friday evening against the Halifax Mooseheads. 

The Cataractes took an early lead with Xavier Bourgault scoring the first goal of the game four minutes into the first period.

Halfway through the period, Jordan Dumais tied things up for the Mooseheads at 1-1.

Attilio Biasca shot the Mooseheads to the lead during early in the second period, making things 2-1. 

Bourgault scored his second goal of the night late in the second period, tying things up once again at 2-2. 

The Cataractes took the lead early in the third period, scoring three goals in just three minutes.

Martin Has kicked things off with a goal five minutes into the period. It was followed up by a goal from Olivier Nadeau, and the third goal of the night from Bourgault, making the score 5-2. 

The third period continued to be full of action, with Elliott Desnoyers making things 5-3 before its midway mark.

The Mooseheads continued to fight back, with Markus Vidicek making the score 5-4 with ten minutes of play remaining.
