Chicoutimi beats Halifax after Jacob Newcombe scores three goals in a single game

The Chicoutimi Saguenéens emerged victorious in a nail biter against the Halifax Mooseheads on Saturday evening. 

The Saguenéens took an early lead with Jacob Newcombe scoring the only goal in the first period.

The Mooseheads tied things up near the end of the second period, with Zack Jones scoring the team's first goal of the night.

With just a second-and-a-half left in the second period, Evan Boucher scored, giving the Moose the lead heading into the final period. 

Boucher scored another goal early in the third period, putting the Mooseheads up 3-1.

The Sags would soon tie things up, with goals from Newcombe and Emmanuel Vermette.

Vermette would go on to score another goal with just two minutes remaining in play, putting the Sags up 4-3.

With just 30 seconds remaining, Newcombe scored his third goal of the night, securing a victory for the Sags.
