Doucet picks up hat-trick in Mooseheads’ 6-4 win over Wildcats

The Halifax Mooseheads' come back to defeat the Moncton Wildcats 6-4 on Sunday.

Halifax's Alexandre Doucet opened up the scoring, becoming the first player in the QMJHL this season to hit the 50 goal mark.

Jordan Dumais added to the Herd's lead shortly after but Charles Beaudoin answered back to cut their lead in half.

Oscar Plandowski tied things up early in the second period.

Evan Boucher responded to put the Herd back up by one but then Maxim Barbashev and Jonas Taibel answered back with a pair of goals to give Moncton their first lead of the game.

Doucet tied things up early in the third period with Attilio Biasca scoring late to restore Halifax's lead.

Doucet completed the hat-trick with an empty netter in the final minute to give Halifax the 6-4 win.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Wednesday when they welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
