Friday's Halifax Mooseheads game against Acadie–Bathurst will now be played on Thursday.

The puck will drop at the Scotiabank Centre at 7 p.m. on December 16.

All tickets purchased for Friday can be used at Thursday's game and the Teddy Bear toss is still a go that night.

If you have an individual ticket and now can't make the game, refunds are available by contacting ticketing@ticketatlantic.com.

Wednesday's game against Charlottetown will go ahead as planned.

The game is being bumped up due to COVID-19 restrictions focusing on masking, gathering limits and physical distancing that kick in at 9 a.m. Friday.

At that point, the maximum capacity for inside sports events will be 50 per cent of the capacity to a maximum of 150 people.

On Monday the province announced health officials would consider plans for larger venues, like the Scotiabank Centre, that would allow them to have multiple, but separate groups of 150 people.

After this week, the Herd's next home game is December 31. The teams says more details will be announced about that game soon.

The restrictions are expected to remain in place until at least the new year.
