The Halifax Mooseheads continued their winning ways on Saturday with a 6-1 victory over the Cape Breton Eagles.
The Mooseheads drew first blood as Josh Lawrence and Jordan Dumais found the back of Cape Breton's net in the first period.
Mathieu Cataford added to the Herd's lead early in the second period before Dumais followed up with his second of the evening.
Lawrence added his second of the evening near the end of the period to make it 5-0 Halifax heading into the third.
Cam Squires finally put Cape Breton on the board in the final period but Cataford quickly netted his second goal of the evening in response to make it a 6-1 final.
The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Sunday when they welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
