A weekend series against the Saint john Sea Dogs appears to be just what the Halifax Mooseheads needed.

After losing three straight, the Mooseheads have now won back-to-back games over Saint John including a 5-0 drubbing on Saturday afternoon.

The teams played a tight first period with Halifax taking the edge in shots on goal.

The Mooseheads would open the floodgates in the second period scoring five - including four goals from defencemen.

Brady Shultz led with two goals. Jack Martin and Cam Whynot would score as well, and Evan Boucher added a marker too.

Goaltender Brady James would post 28 saves for the shutout.

The Moose will be back in action welcoming the Foreurs to the Scotiabank Centre. Catch all the action on CityNews 95.7, starting with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m.
