The Halifax Mooseheads delivered a surprise victory on Saturday evening, after the Charlottetown Islanders got an early lead in the game.

The Islanders swept the first period, scoring four goals from Brett Budgell, Lukas Cormier, Michael Horth, and Ben Boyd.

Early in the second period, Marcus Vidicek put the Mooseheads on the board at 4-1.

That goal was followed up by the second of the night for the Islanders' Brett Budgell, making the score 5-1.

The Moose began to pick up steam as the second period continued, with Zachary L'Heureux and Zack Jones scoring goals, making things 5-3.

Jones scored again shortly into the third period before Evan Boucher tied things up for the Mooseheads.

Halfway through the period, Vidicek scored his second goal of the night, putting the Moose in the lead for the first time.
