Mooseheads defeat Wildcats 6-2

The Halifax Mooseheads picked up a 6-2 road win over the Moncton Wildcats on Saturday.

The Mooseheads came out swinging in the opening frame as Jordan Dumais, Zachary L'Heureux and Zack Jones gave Halifax a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Samuel Desgroseilliers put Moncton on the board in the second period.

Braeden MacPhee added to the Herd's lead to make it 4-1 after two periods.

L'Heureux scored his second of the evening early in the third period with David Lafrance tacking another one on to make it 6-1.

Francis Langlois scored another one for the Wildcats but it wasn't enough as the Mooseheads finished with a 6-2 win.

The Mooseheads will take a break for the holidays before returning to action on Dec. 28 against the Wildcats.
