Mooseheads dominate Cape Breton Eagles, win Friday game

The Halifax Mooseheads won a dominant game, 5-3, against the Cape Breton Eagles on Friday night.

The Halifax Mooseheads won a dominant game, 5-2, against the Cape Breton Eagles on Friday night.

The game started with a quick goal from Eagles' #22 Sean Larochelle, after just two minutes into play. 

The Mooseheads came back strong with two goals in the first period, both from #88 Robert Orr, making the score 2-1. 

Making his nine goal of his last nine games, #49 Ivan Ivan tied things up for the Eagles at 2-2, with thirty seconds remaining in the first period.

#21 Zachary Beauregard scored with just four seconds to go for the Mooseheads, ending the period up 3-2.

The second period remained scoreless, keeping the momentum up for the Mooseheads.

The third period started with an early goal from #74 David Lafrance, putting the Mooseheads up 4-2.

In the final goal of the game, #91 Elliot Desnoyers scored with five minutes to go, making it 5-3 for the Mooseheads.
