The Acadie-Bathurst Titan paid back the Halifax Mooseheads for a Friday night loss with a win on Saturday afternoon.

It was Acadie-Bathurst striking first on Saturday afternoon. Enfield's Riley Kidney potted his 8th of the season in the waning minutes of the first period to give the Titan a 1-0 lead.

The Titan would then capitalize on a Jake Furlong delay of game penalty, as a Jacob Melanson pass would deflect into the Mooseheads' net. The first period ended with Halifax down 2-0.

Moosehead's Mathieu Cataford would find the back of the net in the second period to bring the Herd within one goal. The marker was Cataford's fourth of the season.

Halifax would get the tying goal at the halfway mark of the third period. Elliot Desnoyers scored a powerplay goal to tie the game up at 2-2.

But the tie game wouldn't last long.

Riley Kidney went to the backhand to beat the Halifax netminder giving Acadie-Bathurst the 3-2 lead. The goal was Kidney's third point of the night.

The two teams will match up again on Thursday night in Halifax.
