Mooseheads have 4-game win streak after 5-3 victory over Wildcats

The Halifax Mooseheads extended their win streak to four straight games after defeating the Moncton Wildcats 5-3 on Friday night.

Alex Mercier put the Wildcats on the board late in the opening period to give Moncton a 1-0 lead.

The Mooseheads came out strong in the second period as Jordan Dumais scored a pair of goals while James Swan and Attilio Biasca each added their own tallies to make it 4-1 after 40 minutes.

Dumais completed the hat-trick early in the final period to make it 5-1 Mooseheads.

Alexis Daniel scored twice to bring the Wildcats within two but it wasn't enough as the Mooseheads held on to win it 5-3.

The Mooseheads continue their home stand on Saturday when they welcome the Quebec Remparts.
