Mooseheads pick up 5th straight win with 5-3 victory over Drakkar

The Halifax Mooseheads have extended their winning streak to five straight after defeating the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-3 on Saturday.

Elliot Desnoyers netted a goal early in the first period to make it 1-0 Halifax.

Niks Fenenko answered back for the Drakkar to make it 1-1 after 20 minutes.

Mathieu Cataford helped the Mooseheads retake the lead while Evan Boucher added another tally to give Halifax a two goal lead.

Benjamin Corbeil and Xavier Fortin tied things up for Baie-Comeau early in the third period.

Jordan Dumais scored twice in the final minutes of the period to make it 5-3 final in Halifax's favour.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Moncton on Tuesday to take on the Wildcats.
