Mooseheads pick up 7-2 win over Eagles

The Halifax Mooseheads are back in the win column after picking up a 7-2 win over the Cape Breton Eagles.

Liam Peyton, Attilio Biasca and Lucas Robinson put the Herd up 3-0 in the opening period.

Connor Trenholm put the Eagles on the board in the second period but Zachary L'Heureux answered back to make it 4-1 Halifax after 40 minutes.

L'Heureux, James Swan and Robert Orr extended Halifax's lead to 7-1 in the final frame.

François-James Buteau added one more for Cape Breton but it wasn't enough as the Mooseheads picked up the 7-2 win.

The Mooseheads are back in action Sunday when they visit Charlottetown.
