The Halifax Mooseheads will once again be pausing their season with a re-tightening of COVID-19 restrictions for the Halifax area on the horizon.
Rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as possible.
At a Friday briefing, Premier Iain Rankin and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang announced as of 8 a.m. Saturday, sports events, special events, arts and culture events and festivals will not be permitted.
Other restrictions were also announced for the affected area, which encompasses the western half of HRM from Hubbards to Porters Lake and also includes Mount Uniacke, Enfield and Elmsdale.
The team can continue to hold practices.
Because the restrictions don't kick in until tomorrow morning, tonight's game in Cape Breton is still on.
It will be broadcast on NEWS 95.7 starting at 7 p.m.
