Mooseheads snap losing streak with 4-3 OT win over Charlottetown

By CityNews Halifax Staff

The Halifax Mooseheads are back in the win column after picking up a 4-3 overtime win over the Charlottetown Islanders on Tuesday.

The Islanders starting things off with a pair of quick goals from Patrick Guay and Patrick LeBlanc.

Lukas Cormier extended that lead but the Herd answered back in a big way, with Brady Schultz, James Swan and Zachary Beauregard scoring three consecutive goals to tie things up at 3-3.

Neither team managed to score in the third period, forcing overtime where Cameron Whynot netted the game winner.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday when they welcome the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
