The Halifax Mooseheads snapped a five game losing streak on Sunday, topping the Drummondville Voltigeursb 8-3.

The Mooseheads got off to a strong start in the opening period as Jordan Dumais, Stephen Davis and Zack Jones all lit the lamp for the Herd. Luke Woodworth scored the lone Drummondville marker.

Mathieu Cataford opened up the second netting a pair of goals to make it 5-1 Halifax.

Jérémy Lapointe answered back shortly after to bring the Voltigeurs within three.

Zachary L'Heureux and Elliot Desnoyers added to the Mooseheads' lead in the third period.

Attilio Biasca added to that lead with Alexis Morin answering back quickly, but it wasn't enough as the Mooseheads won it 8-3.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday when they welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
