Mooseheads survive furious Armada comeback, win in overtime on 90’s night

By CityNews Halifax Staff

It wasn't exactly how Halifax likely expected the game to finish, but 90's night ended with a win for the Mooseheads.

The Armada would strike first on 90's night however as Anri Ravinskis potted his 8th of the season less than a minute into the game.

After a rough and tumble first period that saw several penalties handed out to both teams, the story would again be early-period goals. Halifax's Bobby Orr would tie the game with his 9th of the season less than a minute into period two.

The Mooseheads would take their first lead of the night on Brady Schultz's first QMJHL goal at 4:48 of the third period.

Captain Elliot Desnoyers would pick up another marker for Halifax as a shot deflected off his skate and in. After a review the goal would stand putting the Mooseheads up 3-1.

And Halifax wasn't done.

Attilio Biasca's third goal of the season would put the Herd up 4-1 as the Mooseheads kept up the pressure on the Armada in the third.

The opponents would respond, as the Armada scored to make it a 4-2 game just moments after Biasca's goal.

A quick powerplay goal would bring the game within one with five minutes left in the third before the Armada would tie the game at four just minutes later.

The Armada scoring three goals in 2:02 to comeback to a tie game and send it to overtime.

But Halifax would recover in overtime as Zach Jones would finish a nice play from Zachary L'Heuruex to take the win for the Mooseheads.
