Sea Dogs dominate Mooseheads 10-2

By CityNews Halifax Staff

The Saint John Sea Dogs handed the Halifax Mooseheads a lopsided 10-2 loss on Sunday.

The Sea Dogs got off to a quick start as Raivis Kristians Ansons and William Villeneuve netted a pair for Saint John.

Senna Peeters cut that lead in half near the midway point of the first period.

William Dufour responded a short time later to make it 3-1 Saint John.

Philippe Daoust, Dufour and Cam MacDonald added to that lead early in the second period.

Dufour got the hat trick in the final period with Riley Bezeau and Josh Lawrence netting a couple to make it a 9-1.

MacDonald scored his second of the evening with Peeters responding back with his second goal, but it wasn't enough as the Sea Dogs walked away with a 10-2 win.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Tuesday when they welcome Charlottetown.
