Sea Dogs snap Mooseheads win streak with 7-1 victory

The Saint John Sea Dogs ended the Halifax Mooseheads' three game winning streak on Wednesday with a 7-1 victory.

William Villeneuve scored twice in the opening period to put the Sea Dogs up 2-0.

Evan Boucher cut that lead in half later in the period, putting Halifax on the board.

Josh Lawrence and Ryan Francis added to Saint John's lead early in the second.

Lawrence netted his second of the evening to make it 5-1 Sea Dogs heading into the third period.

Brady Burns and William Dufour added two more to make it a 7-1 final.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Friday when they welcome the Moncton Wildcats.
