Titan defeat Mooseheads 7-6 in shootout

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 7-6 in a shootout victory on Friday night.

James Swan opened up the scoring, putting Halifax up 1-0 but Mathieu Desgagnes responded back shortly after to tie things up after 20 minutes.

Justin Barron gave the Mooseheads a 2-1 lead in the second period but Desgagnes answered back with his second of the evening.
 
Riley Kidney gave the Titan their first lead of the game near the end of the second period.

Brendan Tomilson tied things up for the Mooseheads in the third period but David Doucet restored the Titan's lead shortly after.

Jason Horvath made it a tie game once again.

But Desgagnes completed the hat-trick with Bennett MacArthur following up to give Bathurst a two goal lead.

But Sonny Kabatay and Robert Orr netted a pair for the Herd to force overtime where neither team managed to ice it.

The Titan came out on top in the shootout to win it 7-6.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Saint John to take on the Sea Dogs on Saturday.
