Titan take game three with 8-1 win over Mooseheads

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan avoided being swept by the Halifax Mooseheads Monday night, picking up a dominant 8-1 win.

The Mooseheads took a beating early as Zach Biggar, Felix Lafrance, Jacob Melanson and Miguel Tourigny made it 4-0 Bathurst in the opening period.

Biggar netted his second of the evening to make it 5-0 in the second period.

Elliot Desnoyers put Halifax on the board but Hendrix Lapierre restored the Titan's five goal lead.

Riley Kidney scored in the final seconds of the second period to make it 7-1 heading into the third.

Melanson extended the Titan's lead with his second of the evening, making it an 8-1 final.

Game four takes place on Wednesday at the Scotiabank Centre where Halifax still has a chance to advance to the second round of the playoffs.
