Two Mooseheads games postponed by new restrictions

Two Halifax Mooseheads games this week have been postponed after new restrictions were announced by the province Tuesday.
The protocols pause organized sports in the Halifax area, and teams all across the province are limited to only local or regional play.
As a result, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has announced Friday night's game in Moncton and Sunday night's game in Saint John will have to be moved to a different date.
Five other games in the QMJHL have also been postponed and the statement from the league didn't include any games beyond Sunday, however the restrictions are in place for at least two weeks, so it's likely additional games will be pushed back.
According to a tweet by the Scotiabank Centre, all games scheduled until at least Dec. 9 will have to be postponed.
“If they're a Halifax-based team, they're not to travel for the next two weeks,” Dr. Robert Strang explained. “If they're Maritime Hockey League along the South Shore or wherever, they're not to come into Halifax to play.”
Last weekend, the Mooseheads announced they would be rescheduling the games on Saturday, Nov. 21 and Wednesday, Nov. 25 after an employee testing positive for COVID-19.
