Vehicle fire closes highway in Gaetz Brook (update: reopened)

Halifax District RCMP say the 7000 block of Highway 7 in the Gaetz Brook area has been reopened in both directions.

RCMP say traffic can resume as normal.

Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Fire are currently on the scene of a vehicle fire in Gaetz Brook.

The 7000 block of Highway 7 is closed in both directions as of 11:20 a.m.

RCMP are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
