Schools break for holidays

It’s one week until Christmas and for students across metro the holiday starts this afternoon.

And these kids have plans.

“Give my father a hug,” says one kid.

“Play snowball with my cousin at his place,” says another.

“We’re going to play house,” says one youngster.

The kids at St. Joseph A. McKay elementary school in the North End have a lot of things to do.

From sledding and snowball fights to unwrapping presents and visiting with friends and family.

Lots of them were excited about home much snow has fallen, in time for their holiday.

“Because it’s so much fun you can make a snowflake, you can make a snow angel.”

For some, the best part is still getting gifts.
