Doctors say the young woman who fell from her seventh-story apartment balcony will recover.
Crystal Muise, 29, suffered head injuries, a broken back, shoulders, arms, ribs and vertebrae when she plunged to the ground early Sunday morning.
Muise’s brother, Paul Jordan tells the Herald his sister’s survival is a “100 per cent miracle.” He says she awoke from a coma Sunday afternoon and seemed “sharp,” but didn’t remember how she fell.
Friends say they’d come back to Muise’s Stoneybrook apartment after a night out, and after going for a smoke, she was seen hanging on the wrong side of the balcony’s railing.
Police say it was an accident.
Muise’s condition is listed as fair and doctors say she should be able to walk again.
Aunt Joanne Jordan says the family is devastated by the incident, but relieved to hear Muise is expected to recover most of her abilities.
