Human remains identified in Mersereau case; more charges laid
RCMP have now identified human remains found on a property near Truro last week as those of a former Hell’s Angel – and laid more charges related to his death.
A forensic examination confirmed the body found on Hiram Lynds Road on Dec. 5 is that of Randy Mersereau, missing and presumed murdered since Oct. 1999.
Sgt. Brigdit Leger tells News 95.7 the confirmation was made the evening of Dec. 10, but wouldn’t reveal the cause of death.

“A complete forensic analysis was done on the remains and that was part and parcel of how we were able to identify them,” she said. “This is very much an ongoing investigation and I cannot disclose any information that was gleaned during the examination of those remains.”
Major crime investigators have now charged Curtis Lynds, 34, of North River with accessory after the fact of murder in Mersereau’s death. He’s also charged with first-degree murder in the death of Mersereau’s brother, Kirk, and Kirk Mersereau’s wife, Nancy Christensen.
They were found shot to death in their Hants County home on Sept. 10, 2000.
