Airport: Still lots of cancelled flights! Arrivals and Departures from Halifax Stanfield.

– Waste, recyclable, and organics collection will be cancelled today, Feb. 3, with a new pick-up planned for Saturday, Feb. 5. This will prevent waste being placed in the way of snow plows and keep waste collection trucks off the road during snow clearing operations.

– All solid waste facilities owned or operated under contract by HRM will CLOSE today, Feb. 3. These solid waste facilities will be OPEN regular weekday hours this Saturday, February 5, 2011.

This impacts the following facilities:  Otter Lake Waste Management Facility at 600 Otter Lake Dr., Materials Recovery Facility at 20 Horseshoe Lake Dr., New Era Composting Facility at 61 Evergreen Place and Miller Composting Facility at 80 Gloria McCluskey Ave.

– Tri-County Regional School Board has closed all schools for the day.

– South Shore Regional School Board has closed all schools for the day.

– Annapolis Valley Regional School Board has closed all schools for the day. Work sites will open at 10 a.m.

– Halifax Regional School Board has closed all schools for the day. Administrative offices will open at 10 a.m.

– NSCC has closed the Akerley, Waterfront and Instittute of Technology campuses for the day.

– Halifax Christian Academy is closed for the day.

– Sandy Lake Academy is closed for the day.

– The four CSAP schools in metro are closed for the day.

– The NSCC Kingstec campus won’t open until 3 p.m. The Lunenburg campus won’t open until 10 a.m. 

– The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board has closed all schools for the day.

– HRM recreation programs are cancelled for this morning. A decision about afternoon programs will be made by noon.

– The NSCC Burridge Campus and Shelburne Campus will not open until 10 a.m. The Truro campus will not open until noon and the Pictou campus will not open until 9:30 a.m.

– Our Lady of Schools in Halifax is closed for the day.

– Bridgeway Academy is closed for the day.

– NSCC Cumberland and Annapolis Valley campuses are closed for the day.

– The Centre for Arts & Technology and the Centre for Health Studies in Halifax is closed today.

– The Canada Games oval on the Halifax Common will be closed for the day.

– The International Language Institute in Halifax is closed for the day.

– NSCC central office is closed for the day.

– Sacred Heart School closed for the day.

– Montessori Monarch school in Halifax is closed for the day.

– Armbrae Academy is closed for the day.

– Halifax Early Childhood School is closed for the day.

– The Maritime Business College is closed for the day.

– Bedford Academy is closed for the day.

– The Shambala Center in Halifax is closed for the day.

– Adventures Childcare Centre Waverly Road in Dartmouth and Sackville is closed for the day.

– Halifax Grammar School is closed for the day.

– Tiny Treasures nursery school closed due to weather.

– Halifax Public Library branches won’t open until noon and will operate within their regularly scheduled hours thereafter.

– Daytime Spell-Read classes at the Halifax Learning Centre are cancelled today.

– Waste, organics and recyclables collection has been cancelled in East Hants today and has been rescheduled for Sat. Feb 5.
