Regional Police are looking into any connection between some bizarre sexual assaults in Dartmouth this past weekend, and some high-profile cases in Halifax.
Three women were grabbed in downtown Dartmouth around 7:30am Saturday. They were either running or walking. A fourth woman was approached but not touched.
Police Constable Brian Palmeter says police nabbed the suspect in the area.
“He was on foot and was arrested in the area by responding officers,” said Palmeter. “Certainly, we have notified the detective in charge of other similar incidents in the south end/west end area of Halifax.”
22 year old Justin David Cormier is charged with three counts of sexual assault.
Those other similar incidents include a young woman twice being approached near Dalhousie in February, and the sleep watching incidents in which there have been no arrests so far.
