At least one bullet was fired at a man as he stepped from an apartment unit in a multiplex above a Timberlea pizza parlor early this morning.
RCMP said they received a call from the victim and went to 1920 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd., around 2:04 a.m. Monday.
The address is above the Pizza Pro restaurant at the corner of Timberlea Village Parkway.
“When the members arrived on scene, they were met by a male who’d been shot in the left armpit area,” Staff Sgt. Bruce Webb told News 95.7, while members were still on scene.
The wound is considered minor. It was treated at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre and the man has been released.
The victim told police he was shot at by two suspects in the hallway outside the apartment.
“There were other units in the building. Fortunately nobody else was injured,” said Webb. “I wouldn’t say it was random. I would say the shooter and the victim would be connected in some fashion.”
Police have no description of the suspects.
