Thousands secure Elton John tickets for Cape Breton concerts

Persistence and patience paid off for 6,600 Elton John fans who landed tickets Friday to one of the most anticipated concerts in Cape Breton.

Cheryl Hynes waited in line for two days and was the first person to walk away with tickets from Centre 200 for the September 13th concert.

It took three hours for the tickets to be scooped up, either online or in person at Centre 200 in Sydney and the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay.

Tickets for the musician’s show in P-E-I also sold out quickly.
