The Halifax Mooseheads will be without captain Cameron Critchlow when they try to stave off elimination at the hands of the Rimouski Oceanic at the Metro Centre this afternoon.
Critchlow has been suspended for one game after officials say he removed Jonathan Lavoie’s helmet during a first-period fight Friday night.
A post on the team’s Facebook page reads, “Referees said it was intentionally removed and League maintained the automatic 1 game suspension. We disagree, but this team has handled adversity all season.”
The Oceanic lead the Mooseheads 3-2 in their best-of-seven series, after crushing the Moose 9-0 Friday night
Game time is 4:00 and can be heard on News 95.7.
